Alexander's Steakhouse

Wow and mind blowing! I have nothing but amazing things to say about Alexander's Steakhouse. My boyfriend and I have dined here three times now (dinner and happy hour) and it has quickly become our favorite restaurant in Los Angeles! The food here is EXQUISTE. Each bite (or plate) has a different combination of flavors that deliciously awakens your taste buds. And the quality is just phenomenal! The chef clearly knows what he's doing and does not disappoint. One huge plus from our dining experience was the TOP NOTCH service from the ENTIRE staff from the beginning until the end. You'll have one of the best meals of your life here with an experience you won't forget! Tip: Ask to be seated in Freddy's area - seriously, just do it! He'll make sure your food is paired with the perfect wine. Our favorites: Hamachi Shots, Grilled Octopus, Prawn, and of course their steak, the Kansas City Strip.

Fantastic service. Pricey but worth to try it. The food is also excellent.

The food is quite good and our main Server was very informative, helpful and friendly. The additional staff who brought in dishes looked bothered that they had to help serve, not one smile from the other 4. For these prices all should be friendly and outgoing. The bartender also looked like he didnt want to be working and was not very welcoming as we waited for our table and ordered drinks.

The food was delicious. The different cuts of the A5 Wagyu was on point with the various salts. We did the chef tasting menu, along with the wine-pairing. The service was not up to par, the courses lacked the presentation and explanation of the chefs food creation. Not sure if procedures have changed, but our wine was brought already poured in the glass and served prior to our dish being served. The bottle being served was not presented, nor was the explanation of wine being paired with food explained. When the whiskey flight was brought to my brother in law. The bottles of whiskey were aligned and each taste was explained. My wife and I were very disappointed in the service last night. Especially after voting about the superb service we received in prior visits.

This was a truly enjoyable experience, rivaled only by a few Relais & Chateaux establishments I've visited. Service and cuisine are not only great, but absolutely memorable. The atmosphere is grand and the service is a carefully orchestrated affair to ensure no guest feels slighted. Will certainly return when in the area- thank you Alexander's.

Harry the bar tender, has a neck for people and an enormous knowledge base in alcohol. This was a night for the pantheon, and the meat was really good too!We had a blast! The restaurant is very posh and high class. The bar is classy while easygoing, with an insane variety of whiskeys.

Honestly this was one of the best dinning experiences I have ever had. I felt so very taken care of. The waiters showed amazing hospitality. They really added to the dinning experience and made me appreciate the food even more. Speaking about food... All the food I tried was OUT OF THIS WORLD! I personally came here for the "A5 Miyazaki Wagyu" and wow it did not disappoint. BEST steak I have ever had. Everything thing I tried really exceeded expectations. For this very special dining experience I really want to shout out a very special waiter who took really good care of my group. Thank you Nick for your amazing hospitality. You really brought to the experience.

Excellent anniversary dinner. doesn't have the ra-ra atmosphere of a Peter Lugers but the food is excellent. I got a ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. Sides were good. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. A good find -

Great service along with great food. It is obviously on the pricier side but 100% worth it. If you go on a special occasion they definitely make it extra special for you but good for just a date night too!

Simply amazing. The service, the ambiance, the food.... everything was just amazing. The prime rib was the best I've ever had, hands down. The umami fries were probably the one average item at the table. The mushrooms were delictable - sweet, yet savory, and tender. Freddy served us with professionalism and a side of sass and cleverness. Seriously, spend the money and go, it's totally worth it!

There is neither time nor space to detail the variety of delights to be found here. Serious high end stuff. And our server was an old school pro and a sheer joy. Not for the faint of wallet.

Great service and wonderful selection of cuts of meat.

I frequent Alexander's a fair bit, but I recently went for my birthday with some friends. This was the first time I had tried the one in Pasadena. It was nothing less than great and my server made the experience that much better. If you come down here, you can't go wrong with anyone, but Ryan will definitely go out of his way to make the night awesome!

It's hard to not like a good quality steak along with the top notch service... unless of course, you hate steaks. I had the organic grass fed filet mignon and that was very tasty. It went nicely with the different house made sauces. Though I felt those should have been complementary instead of charging extra. While the meat was good, the other highlight was the hamachi shooter served at the beginning of the meal.

I've come here twice and I liked it both times. Once for a regular prefixe dinner and the other for a Dine LA prefixe dinner. Total each time was about $200/person with the dinner, 1 drink, tax, and tip. It's fancy fare where the portions are small but taste very good - not your usual stuff. And the food is not too fancy as to be weird. I remembered that the portions were small from my first time there and I overate the good complimentary bread my second time so I couldn't eat the dessert. The course pacing allowed myself to feel full from the multiple small courses. I'd go again for special occasions.

The place offers an awesome range of fresh food. I love eating here. The employees are always very friendly, prices are convenient and the place is always well organised.

The service is impeccable. The staff is polite, friendly and funny. Very well dressed too.The food is incredible. We ordered oysters, steaks, with sides of truffle fries and udon mac and cheese. Pictured is the Kansas City and ribeye chop steaks. Both were very tender and flavorful. Wife added a side of bone marrow for $12 and that just made the steak even better. Even the bread and butter provided was exquisite. Highly recommend this steakhouse!We came for my wife's birthday and were given complimentary champagne, cotton candy, and cake.

Service was terrible and very slow to almost absent. It took over 45 minutes before our order was taken, then they forgot to enter one of our appetizers. While food was good, my steak was undercooked. I didn't send it back as everything took so long as this dinner took over 3 hours. They gave us free dessert for forgetting the appetizer which I appreciate, but I ordered ice cream and sorbet only because I was afraid it would take so long to prepare one of the other desserts. Very disappointing experience given the other reviews.

I was here for a dinner meeting and I had the tenderloin medium rare. I wish I could order it rare though. The steak was very tender and tasteful nevertheless! Customer service was superb! I wasn't feeling well so I drank lots of water, but my water glass was never empty.

I had higher expectations from this establishment.I was only impressed with the scotch and whiskey selection however.Besides, it was pretty flat. Service and food was just ok. Didn’t materialize to the reviews. Unfortunate.

The service was excellent and the hor',ovres were usual and tasty. The fish was quite good as well. My friend had the Mignon petit. Nicely cooked and juicy. Was at a presentation there. Will come back as an individual.

Top notch steakhouse with excellent service wine cocktails and food. Stick to the steaks. It's not a seafood or pasta place.

Ambiance is quite and cozy. Love the hamachi shot and salad. Wagyu steak tastes really fat and a little overwhelming.

Amazing FOOD. Wonderful service. These guys love my repeating customer friend to pieces because he frequents here a lot. :) They even started carrying a particular soda brand just for him. Now that's customer service! Anyways, we got educated on their meats, tried all sort of dishes and loved them all. It is pricey but you do get what you pay for. I would stick to a couple of items and try not to go overboard like we did. We were in a food coma for a few days.

I visit this spot a lot since I work nearby. I love how their service is always fantastic and they keep the spot clean constantly. Pricing is convenient and they serve big portions.

WOW!!! Worth every penny - and the BEST prepared ribeye steak I've had in any steakhouse. BTW, the whiskey choices are amazing - the staff KNOW their whiskeys and provide great recommendations. And a special shout out to the recommendations we get from Harry.

Friends took me here for my Birthday we enjoyed everything! Manager Jayse is awesome took care of us the whole meal & entertained us with stories. Love their Salad, Savory Bread, Grilled Octopus, Steaks & many deserts for my Birthday. We enjoyed every moment!

Excellent food, eccentric service, posh pricing. After spending $300 on two steaks, two glasses of wine and one espresso, we paid full price on "validated" parking because we exceeded 90 minutes enjoying our meal. I went back to suggest they reconsider their validation policy. The on-site manager dismissed my suggestion rather rudely. I left in astonishment. Does arrogance have to be the price for excellence?

The food, staff, and ambiance were all excellent. You definitely will not leave this place hungry. The selection of steak was almost overwhelming.

This place is my first choice restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. everytime I want to go to a decent meal, this place comes straightaway to my head. splendid and diverse food and a large menu.professional crew, and nice ambience. And very important, the tariff is reasonable. I suggest this spot with pleasure.

The service is impeccable. We went to celebrate my parents anniversary and the service and food went beyond expectations! We were just a bit disappointed that they ran out of the prime rib but that's all right the rest of the food was delicious. The desserts were so good! I ate so much but don't regret a single bite.

In all fairness considering portions, price, and flavor. Service was great. I think the chef was a little off on his temperatures or maybe he wasn't checking thoroughly because my steak was rare on some parts, beef was well seasoned though and cooked on charcoal.

Accommodating staff and top notch food. Pricy but you would expect that from a steakhouse, this is not a fast-food place after all!

Wow! What an incredible dinner! The food is perfect, but super pricey. The wait staff takes such care in making sure everything is perfect and that you have an amazing dining experience.
